Music:
I enjoy listening to both local and international artists. From Kazakhstan, I really love Kunzharyq, Moldanazar, and Ninety One — their music always brings me good energy and a sense of home.
Internationally, my favorites include Lana Del Rey, Kate Bush, Tokyo Hotel, Vanille, LP, Adele, Arctic Monkeys, and The Neighbourhood. I like music that makes you feel something — dreamy, nostalgic, or a bit dark sometimes :)
Movies:
I’m a big fan of early 2000s romantic comedies — they’re my comfort zone! I love cozy, funny, slightly cheesy love stories with a good soundtrack. I also enjoy watching lighthearted films that help you relax after a long day.
Books:
I love reading science fiction, a bit of fantasy, and horror — especially Stephen King. His storytelling always keeps me on edge. I also enjoy books that explore unusual worlds, strange futures, or psychological twists.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I took part in the Work & Travel program and spent a summer living and working in Alaska. It was my first time traveling so far from home on my own — I met amazing people from around the world, improved my English, and learned how to be more independent and open-minded.
But the most unforgettable moment? Seeing real whales in the ocean with my own eyes — it was magical and made me feel so connected to nature. Truly a once-in-a-lifetime experience!

I can teach you some Kazakh or Russian words and phrases, share stories about life in Kazakhstan, and maybe even show you how to cook something from our local cuisine (I love talking about food!).

What I Can Share with Hosts

I can share good conversations, positive energy, and a bit of my culture. I’m always happy to tell you about life in Kazakhstan, teach you some Kazakh or Russian phrases, and share stories from my travels. If you’re interested, I can also cook something simple and traditional :)
