Travelling across the country for the first time :)

I am 19 years old and have grown up in New England my entire life. Please, god, do not be turned away by the fact that I'm so young, I'm not super fucking annoying, I swear. I'm a self-taught musician, and play many instruments, but mostly guitar, and I sing and sometimes write my own music too. I am a dedicated steward of the Earth, a lover of land, plants and animals, a seeker of knowledge, and a creative mofo. Activism/educating myself and others in hopes to create a better world is a big priority of mine, because I care a LOT about stuff and am (sometimes cripplingly) empathetic.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I want to meet new people, make lovely connections, make art, and just have a good old time while I'm here, alive! For me, making the most out of my time means travelling, and when I learned about Couchsurfing, I thought it would be a great thing to check out to be able to go the places I want to go in an affordable manner, as well as a perfect opportunity to make unique memories with people I may never meet otherwise. Let's brighten up each other's lives! Let's gab like teenage girls! Let's start a band! I'm down for whatever, man.

Music, Movies, and Books

Favorite band right now is The Breeders, I think...gotta love 90s alt rock. I'm into lots of music ranging from indie stuff like Alvvays and Soccer Mommy, to pop queens like Lorde, oldies like Elvis, and screaming Pixies songs. I can enjoy and at least appreciate pretty much all of it.

Favorite movies: Clue, Fried Green Tomatoes, Cry-Baby, Pee-Wee's Big Adventure, Hairspray, Welcome to the Dollhouse, SLC Punk, etc.

Favorite books: Braiding Sweetgrass by Robin Wall Kimerer, We Both Laughed in Pleasure by Lou Sullivan, Nexus by Yuval Noah Harari, Restoration Agriculture by Mark Shepherd
