I'm Jaakko. I'm an easy-going fellow working as a HR manager for a software company in Jyväskylä, Finland. I occasionally play golf, poker with friends and badminton. Currently I'm into endurance sports, like Ironman triathlon.

I play guitar and violin and like to entertain my friends with music. I also sometimes do little acoustic gigs playing and singing. I go abroad annually even though I would definitely want to go more. I am a huge fan of good food and therefore nearly every time I have guests over, one thing we end up doing is cooking dinner together. It's nice to have a good chat over delicious dinner and maybe a bottle of wine to go with.

I got familiar with CS via my brother who is a true traveller soul. I have travelled a few couches and my couch is open always for good people. Currently more hosting than travelling, but later when the kids grow a bit I will pack my bag and hit the road again.

兴趣

I like to constantly improve my musical skills. I cook especially spicy food. I play traditional outdoors games like Kyykkä (I bet you've never heard of such game). I go to sauna a lot and often like to take a morning swim before work. I love golf and enjoy tasting good whiskies and wines. I like also running and cycling outdoors. Long distances. A lot.

Pirates of the Caribbean 4-part trilogy is great :) Also Tarantino has made bunch of great movies. I don't watch too much movies and hardly any TV at all. I should read more books, all of them tend to be work-related nowadays. Last summer I read a few books though.

Lying down on a frozen lake on new years eve, hundreds of kilometers away from nearest town, watching northern lights in the darkest sky with a million stars. -30C degrees temperature and still a warm feeling inside. That was one beautiful moment and an excellent way of celebrating new year.

I can teach you some guitar, my language and culture. I can introduce you to some traditional finnish outdoor activities and share some of my favourite recepies. I am always interested in learning new stuff in the kitchen and that's why I pretty much every time suggest cooking together with my guests.
