One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

The first experience that comes to mind is when I went hang-gliding in Argentina. The feeling of weightlessness while in the air, soaring high above the trees, was truly unique. A second experience that sticks out in my mind occured at Los Angeles County Museum of Art. There is an exhibit called Levitated Mass, a 3,000 ton rock with a path underneath for visitors to walk through. I was struck by the enormity of this rock and the compariteve insignificance of each individual walking below; this rock, created by nature, could easily demolish anyone underneath it were the rock to slip and fall. Although it seems that man continually tries to overcome nature, this exhibit made it all the more clear to me that this is not possible.
