I love waking up in the morning because I am always excited about what I will learn through out the day. And I always learn something. I want to keep it this way for the rest of my life. I think curiosity is a good word that describes me.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I have stayed on couches and hope that I brought good energy into their lives. Everyone who has offered me a couch has been welcoming and I am grateful for the experience… (and a place to sleep)

And.. it is so exciting to see who I will meet! I love meeting people. When skiing as a child, my father would send me alone up on the chairlift with a group of strangers because I loved to just chat and meet the new people. I think I am still that way and this story he tells me makes me laugh.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

The first place I couchsurfed was in Dallas, Texas. A lovely woman picked me up from the airport and brought me to her house after I had been in Central America for four months. She was amazing....and actually, I ended up cleaning houses with her for a few days and staying with her for a lot longer than expected. I consider her an angel because I had I returned to the U.S. with an ear infection. I didn't have medical coverage in this country and she helped get me to a doc. I spent a few days on her couch recovering. Really... an angel.

Interests

I am interested in most anything that I don't know about as I always want to broaden my understanding of the world. However what I often do in my spare time is...

I love learning about plants. I think plants are amazing and can provide so much healing.

Music.. I love playing the piano and guitar and singing. I do get shy, however I like to spontaneously write songs. If I didn't get so nervous I would play more at open - mics. Maybe even record someday.

Adventure: I love traveling and adventure. Activities that take me out of my comfort zone and push me are welcome in my life.

Music, Movies, and Books

I like to play music with other people. Love books. And a good movie is a piece of art.

I would say the Lord of the Rings and the old Star Wars are my favorite movies. They are the only ones I own and I could watch any of them over and over.

Books: Dune, Mists of Avalon, Clan of the Cave Bears. I love the magic.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Waking up in a field with a full rainbow overhead... lovely and soaked from the rain.

I can teach and share all that I know, yet the older I get the less I feel I actually know. What is this about?
