Hi, my name is Ajena Jafar 😊 I'm very pleased to meet you 🤝🙂

AJ. I'm a regular lad from Eastern Uganda (Teso). I'm well-traveled within Uganda and to some parts of Africa. I have deep connections within Africa's tourism industry because of my work.

You will find me very practical and resourceful - I guarantee 💯

I live with a big family in Kira (the African way), so I don't really host. However, we can have you over for lunch if you want to experience a little bit of drama.

I'm non-religious and straight, and I have a measured sense of patriotism. That said, I respect people from all walks of life and orientations. Uganda is a lovely country, and everyone is welcome to visit.

Now, should you find yourself on a plane or bus to Uganda. Here's what you can expect from me.

💯 I will help you settle in with accommodation options best-suited to your taste (this includes a free couch or separate room) at one of my very few friends' places. And this isn't your thing, and you want privacy, I'll recommend a variety of hotel or self-catering rentals for you to choose from.

💯💯 I own a little car, so I can chauffeur you around for the price of gas (or petrol as we call it here). The caveat here 😏 is 1) time; and 2) that you are an amazing human being/not a psycho. I do have cars you can hire at slightly less than the market rate - they come with a driver.

💯💯💯 I can help you plan a 3, 5, 7, 14, or 21-day tour across Uganda or East Africa. I'll do this at no cost. I recently travelled from Kampala to Windhoek, Namibia by road, I'll share that itinerary too if you want it 😉

Aside from that, you can join me for my 6-aside game of football in Kyambogo on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday. Tuesday and Thursday, I'm available for a light drink up, while Saturday and Sundays are for road trips to Jinja or any other fun location in Uganda.
