There's more to Istanbul, or Turkey for that matter, than Sultanahmet. I'd like to show that other side of the city to folks and meet other people interested in seeing all around the city.

ABOUT ME

Central Asian history and natural energy nerd, currently living in Istanbul but based in Saint Louis, MO. I know the city pretty well and would love to show anyone around. I also run a website about Istanbul news and city life, potentially an alt-weekly once we start putting more work into it.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

If anyone is swinging through the city or living here for any period of time, I'd meet up for drinks, give a small tour, or help out finding places that suit you. I have a couch at my apartment, as well, for anyone who wants to crash.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

A bunch of my friends in Saint Louis have done it and are true believers...I've been fortunate enough to meet their couchsurfers and thought it was pretty fantastic, so I decided to show up.

Interests

Soccer/football, history, natural resource law, folk music (American and Turkish variety), cheesy pop music, bartending, photography, architecture, good books. Pr' much whatever.
