About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Make friends, laugh a little more each day, and have a cultural exchange.

ABOUT ME

My name is Ayanna and I'm from New York City. My parents are Haitian so I speak English, Spanish, Haitian Creole and some French. I am a free-spirited twenty-three year old who believes that traveling is a great way to grow as a person. I love to dance, play volleyball, sing, read, swim, visit museums, and experience other cultures. I am currently going to Italy for a conference and would love a cultural exchange/a place to stay. I have traveled to Turkey, Venezuela, Haiti, the Dominican Republic, Greece, France, Germany, Greece, Austria, and Bolivia.

My philosophy:
The moments when you grow the most as a person are when you allow yourself to be open.

Music, Movies, and Books

Films:
Motorcycle Diaries, Rush Hour, Vicky Cristina Barcelona, Mean Girls, La Vie en Rose

Books: Comandante, How to Be Black, and anything Junot Diaz has written.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I ran a half marathon! That took a lot of endurance, dedication, and self-love.

Teach, Learn, Share

I would be willing to share my knowledge of a city so that you would not have to bother buying a tour guide book. I'd be willing to exchange language skills and being open to engage with people in discussion about politics, race, gender, history, philosophy, music, and literature.
