About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Getting to know an incredible new city: New Orleans

ABOUT ME

I study romance languages and focus on Italian and Spanish. I am from Michigan originally. I like to read, play music, cook (but not very well), speak foreign languages, travel (obviously), and expand my horizons a little bit every day.

PHILOSOPHY

My perception is just as flawed and my hang ups just as typical as the next person, so I start from here and I walk a line of virtue, enlightenment and truth while still trying to laugh and smile once and a while.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I surfed many many times and I feel it is time to start giving back now that I live in an exciting destination city

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I surfed through northern Europe (Belgium was the best!) with two friends at the end of last summer. It is one of my fondest memories. I met some amazing people from all over the world through couch surfing. I think it is a great way to broaden our perspectives in regards to other cultures.

Interests

I love music and playing guitar. Also singing is very fun for me. I like learning foreign languages, traveling to new places and finding the local color.

Music, Movies, and Books

Movies: Almost Famous, Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind, the fountain, vanilla sky
Music: tool, Ray LaMontagne, Martin Sexton and Delta Spirit.

I've been trying to read as much as I can in Italian and Spanish lately but one of my favorite authors is John Steinbeck. I love 100 years of solitude by Gabriel Marquez. I will occasionally pick up some philosophy.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Santa Maria del Fiore in Florence is one of my favorite Basilicas in Italy. Rome however takes the cake for my favorite city in Italy.

I once rode my motorcycle from Michigan to Miami and back.

Teach, Learn, Share

I could teach you a song on guitar or help you practice your Spanish or Italian
