I am a 23 year old Hindu born in Wellington, the windy capital of New Zealand. Since then I’ve lived in Auckland and now I’ve graduated from my degree in Brisbane, Australia where I currently live.

I’m an incredibly friendly person and have been described as having an agreeable nature - I just love talking to people and getting to know them and their experiences!

I’ve been living through hostels and the occasional hotel on my travels through Europe. As much as I love meeting travellers, I came to realise that I wasn’t getting to know the locals - how can I when I’m surrounded by travellers who, like me, are new to the city.

I realised this when I met a Slovenian local at a viewpoint over Lake Bled. She was so informative about Slovenian culture and cuisine and showed me some fantastic places to go. For me, that is the way to travel and is the primary reason why I am on couchsurfing.
