Konnichiwa! My name is Akari from Japan.
I live in Tokyo and work for a travel agency.

I’m originally from Nara—have you heard of it?
Many people know Tokyo or Kyoto, but I’m proud that my hometown was Japan’s first capital even before Kyoto and Tokyo.

So far, I’ve lived in 14 different cities, including some abroad. I did working holidays in Australia, Canada, and Ireland, which were wonderful experiences.

Through Couchsurfing, I’ve met so many interesting people who have shown me around—those memories are truly unforgettable!

In my free time, I practice the Japanese tea ceremony, and sometimes we host tea gatherings ourselves.
