About Me

Hi! I’m Aakash Prajapati — born in Rajasthan and brought up in Gujarat. I proudly follow both Marwadi and Gujarati cultures. I may not be a frequent traveler, but whenever life feels heavy, I take a break and travel to reconnect, reflect, and recharge.

I travel in my own way — I call it budget luxury. I don’t stay in expensive places, but I still love comfort, good food, clean spaces, and peaceful moments. For me, luxury means enjoying local culture, meeting kind people, and having deep conversations — not spending lots of money.

I love visiting places where I can stay with locals, learn their lifestyle, and share my own traditions. I believe the best way to know a place is to live like a local, not like a tourist.

I’m currently exploring Rajasthan more deeply, because I want to understand my roots before I travel around India or the world. I’m also learning to cook Marwadi food from my mom — she is the best chef in my life!

I’m simple, respectful, and always ready to learn. I enjoy calm places, festivals, spiritual locations, and good talks over tea. Couchsurfing is perfect for me because I travel to connect — not just to move.

Let’s share culture, stories, and kindness — and maybe cook something together too!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

To me, Couchsurfing is not just about a place to sleep — it's about human connection. I use this platform to meet real people, learn their ways of life, and exchange stories, food, and traditions. I believe that the world becomes smaller and warmer when we open our homes and hearts to one another.

I’m here to experience places like a local, not a tourist — and to offer the same in return whenever someone visits my side of the world.
