Hello! My name is Akasha and I am 18 years old getting ready to start solo traveling. I inherited my love for travel completely from my parents and consider myself very well-traveled thanks to them. A few of my favorite places I have visited are Australia, Netherlands, and California. I've played football all my life and am getting into tennis lately. Back home, my favorite hobby is making videos. Originally I would shoot short clips of me and my friends, but now I do it for work and make commercials and promotional videos for hire. I love home but meeting new people and learning about other cultures makes being away worth it.

Since I love to travel and since my favorite part about traveling is meeting new people, I think that couch surfing is a no-brainer. I am taking a gap semester before college in the spring and knew the couch surfer would be the best for that. This way I get to make new friends and explore their way of life.

Shawshank Redemption, The Dark Knight series, The Wolf of Wallstreet, and The Big Short are some of my favorites.

For books, the Harry Potter series was growing up (And still are) my favorites.

On the road leading to mine and my two other best friends, houses stood this tower. Every day we'd all drive to school together and wonder what the view from the top was or if we could see our houses. Finally one day, right around the same time the pandemic was just starting to begin, we decided instead of always imagining this view we needed to see it. So we packed up our gear, charged the camera batteries, and made our way. Reaching the top felt like conquering Everest. The view was everything we imagined and then some. I crave stories to tell like those.
