Getting settled in Seattle
ABOUT ME
I really enjoy studying and talking about international relations, which works out well considering this website. I studied the European Union and international political economy when I lived in Germany (two years).
I watch a lot of soccer. The Bundesliga in Germany is my favorite, but I watch the Premier League as well. If you're interested in finding the best places to watch a game on a weekend, I know of a couple places in Seattle but am happy to explore and check out new things too.
When I'm not working, I try to go running along the Puget Sound, play ultimate frisbee or frisbee golf. I also frequent the coffee shops my neighborhood of Belltown.
Food, coffee, or beer, Seattle has an amazing selection. I can't say I've visited a lot of the best yet, but exploring the city is fun by itself, so let me know what you're interested in and we can go from there.
PHILOSOPHY
I'm constantly figuring this out myself. Definitely glad to talk this question out with whoever wants to chat.

Music, Movies, and Books
Examples: Batman: Dark Knight, Bourne trilogy, Band of Brothers, Brooklyn Nine-Nine, Simpsons, House of Cards and Game of Thrones. I've enjoyed reading Harry Potter, Lord of the Rings, Tom Clancy novels, Dan Brown's books and Girl with the Dragoon Tattoo.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Going to 12 countries in 5 months while studying abroad for a semester was hugely rewarding. Throw in skydiving in the Swiss Alps and it was definitely amazing. Experienced Oktoberfest in Munich 2010. That was phenomenal.
Teach, Learn, Share
I enjoy hearing other peoples' perspectives and learning from them about international relations. Soccer and beer as well. As a native Minnesotan I have a lot to share about what to see and do there and hope to meet similar people but from the Washington State side.
Countries I’ve Visited
Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, Canada, Czech Republic, France, Germany, Hungary, Italy, Japan, Latvia, Luxembourg, Malaysia, Poland, Slovakia, Spain, Switzerland, United Kingdom
Countries I’ve Lived In
Germany, United States
