Because I believe that you can only understand the world through people, seeing the world through their eyes, being amazed at what they think, what they do, how they live. Locking yourself up in the hotel room - is no way to see the world, that I know for sure.

兴趣

I work on a martial arts TV channel as an editor. Studied kung-fu in Hong-Gia Viet-Nam. Absolutely love travelling alone and getting into trouble while at it. Can't say I've been to many places but I'm doing my best. Can't stand e-books - still prefer the paper ones. Love tattoos, right now have a sleeve in progress. I travel with a stuffed tiny panda called Juan Antonio Samaranch. Always send postcards to my mom from every new city I'm in. I have a dog called Loki and an amazing ability to come across kind and absolutely unbelievable people even in the worst of times. Also a buddhist but still struggling with anger and ego.

My favourite writers are Erich Maria Remarque, Gabriel Garcia Marquez, Karen Thompson Walker, Sarah Winman, Robert Heinlein, Milan Kundera. Regarding the music - it ranges from soft rock and indie to classical music. Music has to have some meaning to it, not just some blah-blah-blah to dance to in the bar.

Flying over Salto Angel in Venezuela and getting stuck alone in jungles in Canaima when our teeny-tiny plane broke down.
