Overview
About Me
Hey, I'm Akhil Anand and I am from Bangalore, India. I am a semi professional rugby player who runs a few cafes and food trucks around town. I also freelance (more like passion) as a Personal Trainer and Nutritionist.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I’m on Couchsurfing cause for me, travel isn’t just about seeing new places, it’s about experiencing them through the people who call it home.
I love learning about different cultures, traditions, and day-to-day life from the people who’ve lived it — and I believe every conversation adds something to your journey.
It’s not just about finding a place to stay, but about sharing stories, perspectives, and maybe even making a friend in a new corner of the world.
Interests
I’m passionate about traveling and exploring — whether it’s a hidden trail, a new city, or a different culture. I love solo traveling and the freedom that comes with it and I always look forward to meeting people from all over the world on my travels. Hiking, mountains, and wild camping are my kind of therapy. Always up a beer too.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Hard to choose, but probably hiking around the ranges of Mt.Everest.
What I Can Share with Hosts
I’m always respectful, grateful, and mindful of the space I’m welcomed into. I genuinely try to add value — not just as a guest, but as a friend — and I’ll do my best to make sure you never regret hosting me. :)
I’m more than happy to return the favour, whether that’s by hosting you back home someday, treating you to a meal, or simply sharing good company and conversation.
If you’re into fitness or curious about training/nutrition, I’d love to help out with tips or guidance, happy to share whatever I know!
