I’m a naturopathic doctor who’s always chasing that mind–body connection, even when I travel. Solo trips are my favourite—not just to see new places, but to really feel them. For me, the best part of any destination is always the people. I love meeting locals, hearing their stories, learning their traditions, and seeing life through their eyes. Those conversations and connections help me grow, both personally and professionally.

Starting conversations with new people has never come naturally to me, and breaking the ice can feel a bit daunting. However, Couchsurfing has been an amazing tool that has really opened doors to meaningful connections. Through Couchsurfing, I’ve had the opportunity to meet locals in a comfortable, welcoming setting, which has made it easier for me to listen to their stories and engage with them authentically. It’s been invaluable in helping me build confidence in initiating conversations, allowing me to dive deeper into the cultures and lives of the people I meet. This experience has transformed my travels, helping me move beyond simply visiting a place to truly experiencing it through the perspectives and stories of those who live there.
