I'm Akhilesh. An engineer by training and a software developer by profession. Travel is something that has come to me as an interest pretty late. I started it a couple of years ago by joining a few high altitude trek groups and trying out a few treks in the country.

And now I an trying to explore other parts of the world over the next few years, meeting people from different cultures, countries and interests and in the process learn a few things about life.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Gives me an opportunity to interact with locals. I'm more interested in travelling solo. So living with locals comes across as a good opportunity to learn about local culture and even make friends for life.
