[ about me ]
Hello. I am Aki, a Japanese soba craftsman.
Soba is a Japanese noodle made from buckwheat flour made from buckwheat seeds.

My soba-making journey began with the decision to hold a soba and music event in the Netherlands in December 2024.

My husband and I are traveling overland from the Netherlands to Turkey, and we hope to learn soba dishes and world home cooking in each country.

I hope to make friends with people from various countries, learn about food and culture through the people I meet, and enrich my life.

Future plans...
I will be travelling from Holland to France (Brittany and Lyon), then overland to Italy, Slovenia, Croatia... and Turkey.

I hope we can cook together, exchange recipes, go for walks, and have fun together at our accommodations.

Hi i'm Taki. Aki's husband.
We are traveling in Europe to turkey.
My purpose in traveling is to be able to do my job as a graphic designer while traveling abroad in the same way as I do in Japan.

Also, I want to support my wife's goal of "spreading Japanese soba cuisine to the world and learning about soba cuisine from around the world."

Also, I want to learn about the essence and culture of the places I meet on my travels, such as the people, villages, and towns.

In 2009-2010, I traveled across the Himalayas on foot, and stayed in the homes of local people in the countryside and mountains of Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan, Turkey, and Syria, learning about local cultures and ideas, and living together with them.

Another purpose of my travels is to collect "hyper art tomasson," which is my hobby, and create a zine of European tomasson.
