Anything by Somerset Maugham, recently reading Experiments in Ethics (Kwame Appiah), Better (Atul Gawande). I think most people should read The Moon and Sixpence, and interpret it as brilliantly real or brilliantly satirical. This tells me a lot about you.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Hiked in a national park in India with few safety precautions, nearly got stampeded by elephants
