None through CouchSurfing yet! I did stay with an elderly Spanish woman in Barcelona for a month, which was a great way for me to practice my Spanish, but verry interesting! She let pigeons freely wander in and out of her kitchen... They obviously had no qualms about using it as a toilet...

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I have seen so many amazing things in my life... One of the most recent was Carrefoc ("fire run" in English) in Barcelona during the festival of Merce. There were people running around swinging lit fireworks over their heads! Definitely a dangerous event that would never be allowed in the US (or anywhere else I've been except Spain really!), but the event was almost as amazing as the respect for tradition that allowed it to take place.
