I am a 26 year old guy pursuing my PhD in Electrical Engineering/ Physics at the University of California Berkeley. I love to travel and exploring and learning about new cultures, especially by meeting and chatting with new and interesting people, and through local food.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I'm on couchsurfing to meet new people in locations that are new to me so that I can get a feel and flavor for wherever I am through experiences that are personal and spontaneous. In return I can chat with people about my experiences with international travel, and share stories about my upbringing in India and current life in the Bay Area in the US. I am also willing to show my appreciation to hosts by buying or cooking them a meal, or treating them to some drinks.

I am also willing to host people at my apartment in Berkeley and hopefully show people my version of Berkeley and the Bay Area.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I was the chief editor for the annual magazine in my college in India in 2014. What I Can Share with Hosts

I can share my experience about growing up in South India, and my experience of the culture, people and food there. I can also share my views about the US, the West and the Bay Area as an immigrant student in the USA.

I will buy a meal or a few drinks for the host, or cook or bake something for them.
