Why I’m on Couchsurfing

We originally joined Couchsurfing just to find a place to stay for a night on trips. However, after spending some time on the website, we have found it might be much more than expected - perhaps a place to share interest, projects, endeavors, or interesting friends.

Interests

Me: main interest is evangelizing for interchangeable parts and trying to expose the Stone Age technology of many industries that masquerades as modern. I am interested in rural land preservation, environmental issues, wind and water energy - solar too, except that I don't know much about the technology. I have filed a patent application on a new type of wind turbine blade. Quite frustrated with everything and considering running for election to Congress.

Wife: main interest is in healthy food, non-GMO foods.

Music, Movies, and Books

Me: favorite music is good music concentrating in baroque, ragtime, and the Beatles

Movies ??

Books: The Tragedy of the Commons [article] (Garrett Hardin), My Life and Work (Henry Ford), The Truth About Automobiles (a not-real-bad book I wrote years ago available somewhere on the internet).

Teach, Learn, Share

My wife likes to cook and eat Chinese dumplings and wild vegetables (weeds). The dumplings are very good and "wild vegetables" are surprisingly good. Maybe Monsanto should worry a little bit.

I am completing my second book(let). It is a very short, little mini-micro-tome on interchangeable parts especially in respect to automobiles. If anyone can tell me why Ford produced just for cars during the years 2005 - 2014 over 45 different cruise control switches, I would really, really like to know.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I hope we can share some knowledge and what passes for wit around our house.
