Overview
About Me
I wander to learn. I love language and travel.
I have a habit of booking trips to foreign places and not packing along the burden of plans. I like very much to sit and to talk to people about what they think and why.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
To surf and meet people, and hear what they think. I unfortunately can't host people with my abundance of roommates.
Interests
At home I enjoy mountain biking, wind surfing and skiing and have a woodworking studio. I mix cassettes off my record player to play in my station wagon on domestic adventures.

Music, Movies, and Books
I consume American amounts of media in order to relate to people. I love a great deal of it. Lists are exhausting, but an example of each is Led Zeppelin, Rushmore, and East of Eden.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
More stupid than amazing: One thing leading to another while hitchhiking near Syria, I found myself spending the night in an old blown up bunker in a barbed-wire enclosed minefield with a loud pack of hyenas for neighbors. Comforted that things couldn't get worse, I fell asleep and woke up to a most ironic heavy downpour of rain.
Teach, Learn, Share
I want to learn everything. I take most especial interest in languages, local idioms, and the geography that separates them. Etymology gets me going, as well as Old tools and their purposes. I like to stick my head around every corner and descend every staircase that looks disused or like it holds secrets.
I have a degree in Linguistics, and know quite a bit about woodworking and mechanics
