Hey, my name is Alana (pronouns: she/her). I am an artist living and working on Treaty 6 territory / Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, Canada. You’ll find me making art, drinking strong coffee, cooking, cycling, listening to podcasts, learning how to sew, and volunteering.

Things that are important to me: My partner (Tyler), my friends, my family, and my dog Motu and two cats, Phoebe and Loki.

Things I like: Making stuff, loud music, stand up comedy, hiking, coffee dates, kombucha, writing, zines, plants, gardening, nerding out on art history and language, swimming, snail mail, working with youth and seniors, learning things, and sleeping.

Things I value: (Here’s just two cuz more makes me sound like a mission statement and not a human).
Creativity/ Curiosity: as a means of being vulnerable and challenging the status quo are important to me. Play, make mistakes, be silly and make a mess. Ask lots of questions.
Community: I feel best and work best when I feel connected to others and when working towards a common goal. I am dedicated to working with seniors and youth and giving back to people and organizations that are doing good work. I strongly believe in celebrating our differences and strengths to build communities that honour people.

I am new to Couchsurfing, but am excited to travel and be a host (now that I have a place to call home). I’ve always thought couchsurfing was a rad thing- travel shouldn’t just be for those with a bunch of money. We are both artists and want to host other creative peeps.

Shared home with my partner, Tyler and our pets. We have two cats and a large dog.
We are LGBTQ2 friendly home.
We are a Clean & Sober home. No drugs or booze in the house.
This is a chill space.

We have a comfortable couch and a spare room we can set up with a minimum of 2 weeks notice.
