About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Make music!

ABOUT ME

I am a caring and considerate person who loves to get to know people from all walks of life. The most important thing for me is to 'go with the flow' and take things as they come. I am a perceptive person who finds even the minute details of life beautiful. I enjoy discovering my environment and the people that I share it with, and I believe experiencing new things is not only fun but an important part of life! I am fascinated by the world, the social inner-workings of society, and the people I share it with. I'm an easy going person who is up for anything and always down for an adventure!

PHILOSOPHY

Be not inhospitable to strangers as they may be angles in disguise.

Interests

I love music! Music is a very big part of my life as I am a singer and aspiring songwriter. I also play the violin and a little guitar. Music is what frees me. I appreciate all types of music and musicians and artists are my kind of people :)

I love art. I go to the museum as often as I can and I am always interested in checking out strange off-the-beaten-path artistic evens and happenings. I appreciate all kinds of art from architecture to graffiti art. Anything that is inspiring is beautiful!

I love exploring neighborhoods, and old buildings. I love urban exploring and I find learning the history of societies to be a great hobby of mine. History in general thrills me.

The forrest is my church. I love nature and when I am in nature I feel peace. Hiking, swimming in lakes and rivers, and just lying under trees appreciating nature is a cherished past time.

I watch a lot of films! Obsessively so, I have developed a passion for dark, indie, foreign, quirky films, and devour them voraciously. Documentaries are thrilling.

And of course I am a lover of the written word. I read a lot in my free time (all types of literature) and I have a strong appreciation for poetry.

Music, Movies, and Books

Radiohead, Sly & The Family Stone, The Beach Boys, The Beatles. CSNY.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I was recently at the Tribeca Film Festival and saw the premier of the documentary "Searching for Sugarman." It follows the search for a long lost singer songwriter from the 70's. At the end of the film the artist, Rodriguez, whom the film is about, appeared on stage and performed a song for the audience. I was in tears! It was such a beautiful experience, and I felt so privileged to have been a part of it.

Last summer two friends of mine and I drove all the way to Lincoln, Maine on a complete whim to see the sun rise over the ocean. It was a gorgeous calm sunrise, the kind that slowly creeps up from the horizon. As we all stood on the shore listening to the sea lap the sand at our feet, and welcoming the sun to another day a deer slid out from the pine woods and stood a distance away watching with us. It was a heavenly moment that I will never forget.

Teach, Learn, Share

I'm interested in meeting/sharing time with people who are fascinated by the world, curious, compassionate, vivacious, and have important and interesting things to say :) Open people all the way.
