Hi! I'm Alanna from Upstate NY. I went to uni in Boston, moved to Australia for 1 year to be an au pair, and am now in getting a master's in Scotland. My family began hosting exchange students when I was in high school and we hosted 6 (from France, Spain, Germany, and Jamaica) from 2009-2012. I love love love traveling and am super happy to be living in Europe and finally checking out more of the continent! I'm quiet but friendly and am almost always willing to have a chat over a glass of wine or beer.

I love to travel but I'm a broke student traveling solo which doesn't lend itself well to AirBnbs and I like meeting locals vs. other travelers like I would in hostels. Also I'm in love with 98% of animals (no snakes or spiders) and hostels never have dogs..

Books: Historical fiction during WWII, depressing as all hell but endlessly fascinating
