East Coast born and raised--up until a few years ago when I went to Yellowstone to work for the summer and caught the travel bug pretty bad. I dropped out of college, and that December, more or less on a whim, I drove across the country to move to Lake Tahoe, California for a job at a ski resort. Since then, I've worked two more seasons at Yellowstone and traveled all over the western United States. I've work-traded at several organic farms through WWOOF, and last summer I hiked part of the Pacific Crest Trail. Professionally a cook, mentally a writer, and spiritually a bum.

I love traveling but I'm young and broke. Stoked that there's a network to stay with locals all over the world! That's always more authentic than staying in a hotel anyway. I love meeting people and sharing stories, food, and travelers tips! Some day I want to travel all over the world--but for now I'm exploring western America.

我做过的一件不可思议的事情

I hiked 1000 miles of the Pacific Crest Trail last summer! I hiked the whole of the Southern California section and most of Oregon. It was an incredibly humbling and rewarding experience. The kindness of trail angels and hikers is overwhelming, and Imdont know how I could have made the journey without the amazing support system I had. The trail breaks you down and builds you up, and ultimately makes you a better, stronger person.
