I am Alannah. I'm a mycologist, biomimicry professional and travel junkie. Traveling is exciting, and I enjoy new places and meeting new people. I grew up in Southern California, but my permanent home is in beautiful North Carolina. I lived in Alaska for the past 10 years, and one of the reasons I moved to Alaska is because I love the outdoors and Alaska still is a great place for wanderlust and exploration. Since I’ve moved out of Alaska I have not hosted couchsurfers. I am currently traveling London and exploring the city.

I have spent the past few years teaching environmental education to children between the ages of 9-13, and it has been an awesome experience getting kids outdoors and learning about nature. I graduated with my degree in biology and have become fascinated with mycology (the study of fungi). I love sharing what I've learned with others and I love learning from others.
