ABOUT ME

I'm a weekend anchor and reporter for a news station in Midland, TX. I graduated in broadcast journalism from UT Arlington. I just started working out here in West Texas and want to travel as much as I can on my days off! I enjoy traveling around the world and immersing myself in as many cultures as I can!

PHILOSOPHY

Don't hold back, no regrets, etc. etc. It would also be simple to just get a hostel/hotel, but that wouldn't give me the experience and opportunity to meet the locals. :)

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I stayed with some fabulous people in London for a weekend. I enjoyed the experience and want to couchsurf everywhere I go! It's the best way to get to know a place. When possible for me, I would love to host any visitors to Dallas! :)

Music, Movies, and Books

I love indie rock, alternative, Indian music, old school rap, etc. I like to listen to The Black Keys, Andrew Bird, Cut Copy, Toro Y Moi and Beirut. I love to watch How I Met Your Mother, Anthony Bourdain, King of the Hill, Family Guy and Futurama. I love French films, rom-coms, and Wes Anderson.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Sailed a ship through the Philippine islands, experienced a typhoon, seen the Eiffel Tower at night, visited NYC by myself once, watched the sun rise in the Mojave desert, etc. I hope to add more to this.

Teach, Learn, Share

I can speak English fluently and also speak some French and Tagalog (kinda sorta). I'm an excellent writer and have won awards and what nots in writing, journalism, and literature.
