I'm on couch-surfing for more than just a place to sleep at night, I think it is a great way of meeting new interesting people, and obtaining a more intricate experience of a place that would not be possible without the knowledge and expertise of a local person. I really enjoy experiencing local culture and cuisine, as well as developing an appreciation for the local way of life.
