Hey peeps,

I grew up in a small town called Iqaluit that is situated just above the tree- line. Iqaluit is located in Canada but is closer to Greenland than other parts of Canada. Iqaluit's is culture is very much shaped by the Inuit majority so I grew up camping, dabbling in hunting and dog sledding. I grew up running and raising Inuit sled dogs!
In 2014, I was accepted into a hippie school on Vancouver Island called Pearson College UWC where I finished high school. Students from the school came from all over the world. The focus of the school was intercultural understanding, peace and sustainability.
During 2016-2017 I took a gap year and traveled and volunteered in Colombia, Cuba, Mexico, France and Scotland. My volunteering ranged from participating in participatory action research to learning how to massage horses and make goat cheese!
I am currently studying Anthropology, Sociology and Urban Studies at university in Montreal! I am able to pay for my travels by working a couple jobs in the summertime!

Warum ich bei Couchsurfing bin

My experience living with students from all over the world during my time at the hippie school was instrumental in the way that I see the world. I hope to continue to meet people that will offer me a unique perspective on where they are from and their opinions on life.
I have had some really amazing experiences couch surfing by meeting incredible people and I am really excited to continue to meet people!

I am down to learn about absolutely whatever so I am sure we will find some common ground. I am most likely only traveling with a small suitcase but I can offer some ridiculous stories and a meal!

I can share my perspective on my little unique corner of the world and offer a different understanding of Canada. Even though I only have a couple references on Couchsurfing I have a experience with crashing with alumni from my hippie school as well as volunteering for an extended time through websites such as Helpx. All this to say is that I will do my best to be considerate of what you need from a surfer. I am pretty good at doing dishes!
