ABOUT ME

I am definitely a people person and love to go on long walks and catch up with friends while enjoying the outdoors. I love potlucks, dogs, good chocolate, fine wine and, of course, my family! I am easy to talk to, not too opinionated, open-minded and helpful. I am a teacher at heart and like to help people figure things out-especially my own children.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

My husband and I traveled through Oregon using CS in order to meet locals. My daughter and I did the same in Boise, and we host as much as we can.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have hosted and couch surfed and look forward to doing both in the future.

Interesses

Having people over for dinner, a few glasses of wine, some laughs and memories. Though I am not a good story teller, I am a great listener and love to hear other people's stories. I am passionate about all things Spanish--the food, the music and the dance-oh and especially the language. I like to read historical novels and watch foreign films-my favorite foreign film is Three Idiots--just love Bollywood. A perfect day for me would be a 3-4 hour hike with friends followed by a humble dinner and a decadent dessert. I love to dance-any kind of dance that my husband will do. We especially like the Blues. I would love to take dance lessons so we could dance the salsa, but that may have to wait for another life. I am starting to think about retirement--not from something but to something. I have yet to figure out what I want to retire TO, however. I have three wonderful children who keep me engaged while they are at home. I adore listening to their tales and plans. I can say that raising my children has been the most rewarding, and scary activity of my life.
