About Me

CURRENT MISSION
In search of the ultimate adventure.
ABOUT ME
I grew up in Auckland until completing my degree. For a time my family lived in England 2000-2005 and we travelled throughout USA and Europe. I am learning French and Spanish. In recent years I have grown a deep passion for outdoor adventure of all types.
Over summer of 2013 with friends I traversed the Southern Alps mountain range from Arthurs Pass to Mt Cook over 30 days. Soon after, I competed in GODZone, a 500km adventure race involving trekking/MTB/kayak/raft on minimal sleep.
In 2014 I moved to Christchurch to do a Masters degree.
In 2015 I moved to Australia to do renewable energy engineering work where I based myself for 3 years.
In 2016 I joined an expedition to the Cordillera Blanca in Peru, exploring the world of higher altitude mountaineering. We climbed some beautiful ~6000m peaks like Alpamayo and Taulliraju.
In 2017 I spent a winter season in the Canadian Rockies ice climbing, followed by six weeks of commercial prawn fishing in British Columbia, big wall climbing in Yosemite on Half Dome and El Capitan, and visits to Squamish and the Bugaboos for the granite season.
In Feb 2018 I made a 5 week trip to Patagonia in Argentina where we climbed several epic alpine routes. In May we climbed 4 routes on El Capitan including Freerider and Nose in a Day! In August I decided to move to Europe.
2019 I now work remotely in Chamonix France for an Australian consultancy modelling renewable energy systems.
The climbing & skiing here is literally on the doorstep and is super fun.
I am happy to share of my experiences and guide you to the best spots while you are travelling.
Come visit for some skiing or rock climbing!
PHILOSOPHY
Christian, problem solver, in search of the ultimate adventure, sharing my experiences with others
