ABOUT ME

When I was 11 I did a school report on Kuwait and decided I wanted to move there. My parents did not go along with my plan. But by the time I turned 15 I figured out a way to fund a year in Australia as an exchange student and I've been dumb struck with wanderlust ever since. I spent most of my 20s backpacking Europe, Australia and New Zealand. In my 30s I got married and had a kid so I turned my guest room into an arm chair travelers paradise. I've hosted hundreds of people from around the world. I pick up hitchhikers, talk to strangers, and generally face danger at the drop of a hat in order to make interesting connections. Some of my best friends live all over the globe and I wouldn't have it any other way. I'm divorced now and my kid's a bit bigger so I'm finally getting back to traveling. Not as much as I'd like - but I make the most of it when I go.... and that's where you come in.

I love music. I sing and write songs. They mostly all sound like Taylor Swift rejects but they are mine and I love expressing myself through music.

I do triathlons and crossfit - but I'm not too wacky about it. I'm super slow (12 minute mile...lol) but I have great endurance. I love to rollerskate and I really want to learn how to Kayak.

Oh and I'm a mom too - I've got a fabulous 7-year-old son who takes up quite a bit of time too...

我做过的一件不可思议的事情

I learned about couchsurfing.org when I picked up a ukelele playing hitchhiker at a rest stop on the Jersey Turnpike.

Once in New Zealand, I was sinking in quick sand on the beach where the movie The Piano was filmed and Neil Finn from Crowded House saved me.

Also I had sex in the White House the same week as Monica Lewinsky. Not with the President though.
