My first name is Alba. It's is a spanish name which means 'dawn'. My mother is swiss and my father spanish. I was raised in France, in a small village, 20 kilometers away from swiss border.
I am 18 years old and I was graduated last summer. I wanted to take a break from studying, in order to travel, discover a new country and a different way of life. I'm currently working in a supermaket, to be able to afford my journey.

I decided to travel on my own, first because I wanna learn more about myself. Another reason is that I wanna learn english, it's important for social and professional relationships, and I think it's gonna be easier if I don't always have somebody to talk french with !

I would describe myself as openminded. Maybe I need a few days to get used to a new situation, but once it's done I'm easygoing and funny (my family says so at least).
I have two older sisters and a little brother. I'm used to housework, as I always helped my mother at home. I think I'm also quite responsible, I take care of my brother quite often. I also usually work as a babysitter.
I care about people in general. Maybe it's due to this big family I have, who gets somehow loud when everybody eats together !
I can be really motivated by what I'm doing and I'm able to motivate others. I'm also a patient and perseverant person.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Actually, I decided to join Couchsurfing because I want travel in Irlande. I think it's a good deal to meet new people, share funny time with host and travel cheaper

I listen all types of music, but I have to admit, reggae music is one of my favorite

For my favourite book, I like the french author Bernard Werber and his book " Le 6eme sommeil ", mixing romance and appreciation.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Maybe, it's not super, but it's important for me. Two years ago, I've spent two months in Spain. It was a student exchange program. I lived at a guy's place with his family and went to high school with him. He came to my place later. I enjoyed it a lot and we became good friends.

And this, is super thing for me, I maked a parachute jump the last summer, it was amazing !
