Hello there! My name is Alban. :-)

I would say that I'm an easy going guy open for all kinds of new experiences. I'm an open minded person that does not descriminate against anyones race, religion or other personal views. I was born here in Norway, and I've lived here all my life. My mother is Norwegian and my father Kosovo Albanian, hence the name Alban. I love getting to meet new people, and I like to think I'm a funny and kind-hearted person that is easy to get to know. :-)

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Me and my good friend David are about to go on a hitchhiking trip across Europe. We don't know how long we will be on the road, nor are we sure where we are going. But we both want to meet new people and make new friends all across the continent.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I've never been surfed couches before, I'm a noobie to say the least.

Interests

I really enjoy discovering and sharing all kinds of music, and i visit music festivals and concerts as much as I can. I also play the irish tin-whislte at a novice level. I listen to all kinds of music, but the musical genre i listen to the most is metal. Same thing with movies. I really like discovering obscure and diffrent foreign films that does not fit into the hollywood-mold. When I'm not listening to music or watching films I hang out alot with my friends, going on roadtrips, visiting cafés and pubs or simply just hanging out in the park. I'm also quite geeky. I enjoy videogames, boardgames, roleplaying, science and anything else geek. The last thing I can think of worth mentioning is that I'm a huge fan of the Norwegian football team Rosenborg Ballklub (RBK), with 22 championship wins they are the most successful team in Norwegian football history.

Music, Movies, and Books

Movies: I like Quentin Tarentino, Robert Rodriques, Spike Lee and Stanly Qubrick. My two favourite films though are "25th Hour" starring Edward Norton, the South Korean film "Oldboy" and "Casino". And the "Star Wars" saga, ofcourse. ;-)

(Metal) Music: Metallica, Satyricon, Dimmu Borgir, In Flames, Children of Bodom, DevilDriver, Mastodon, Pantera, Slipknot, Soulfly, Trivium, Baroness... The list goes on and on... :-)

Books: I really don't read that much, but I have taken an interest into the "A Song of Ice and Fire" novels by George R. R. Martin.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Many of the best experiences I've had in my life have happened at the annual Roskilde Festival in Denmark. The combination of the music, the atmosphere, the new friendships and the love for your fellow man you experience at the festival is one of the most awesome feelings you will ever feel.

Teach, Learn, Share

I wrote my bachelor thesis on the subject of sensory evaluation of beer, or beer tasting in laymans terms. So I could probably teach you a thing or two about this fantastic drink of the gods! ;-)

Besides that I would say I'm a jack of trades, but master of none. Alltough I am a bottomless well of funfacts and witty and clever anecdotes. :-)
