Hello World! 🌍

I'm Alberto Ariosto, a 23-year-old guy from Italy 🇮🇹. I grew up in Milan and now live in Pisa (the city of the leaning tower). I’m currently studying Organic Chemistry at university with the goal of becoming a scientist 🧪🔬.

BUT beyond that, I have two other strong passions: traveling and photography 📸! I’ve been lucky enough to explore many different countries and cultures, and each place leaves me with unforgettable memories and new perspectives.

My camera is always with me, and I love capturing everything I see—whether it’s breathtaking landscapes or the little things that often go unnoticed. Every photo tells a story, and I enjoy freezing moments that would otherwise fade with time. 🌅

Since the age of 8, I’ve also been a scout! 🏕️ In 2019, I took part in the world’s biggest scouting event — the World Scout Jamboree — held in West Virginia, with 40,000 scouts from all over the world ✌🏻

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

My passion for travel started with my first big trip: the World Scout Jamboree 2019 in West Virginia, USA. That experience opened my eyes to the incredible diversity of the world and sparked my curiosity to keep exploring. Since then, I’ve been hooked on the idea of meeting new people, sharing stories, and seeing the world through different eyes

So... I’m on Couchsurfing because I absolutely love traveling and discovering new places. This platform is awesome because it lets you connect with locals and experience a destination from a whole new perspective. It’s not just about finding a place to stay.

Music, Movies, and Books

🎶 Music: I enjoy a wide range of genres, from classic rock like Green Day and Queen to more modern pop music. I also love listening to Italian music.

📚 Books:
While I’m not a huge reader, I enjoy books that transport me to another world. I also love photography books, both for inspiration and to learn new techniques.

🎬 Movies:
My favorite movie is definitely La La Land—the music, the colors, and the whole vibe of it really speak to me. I also enjoy movies that make you think, like Inception, and I’m a big fan of classic films and documentaries that explore different aspects of life and culture.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

1) In 2019, I took part in the world’s biggest scouting event — the World Scout Jamboree — held in West Virginia, with 40,000 scouts from all over the world ✌🏻

2) Sleeping under the stars in the Sahara 🌌⭐️

3) I volunteered at the international chemistry olympiad in zurich in 2023, serving as team guide for the syrian delegation 🇨🇭🧪

4) Visiting Petra in 2025🏺🌄

5) Seeing the Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque in Abu Dhabi at sunset 🕌🌅

6) Touring Taiwan in 2 weeks in 2024 🇹🇼🚶‍♂️

7) Doing a month-long Interrail trip in 2022, exploring many countries in Europe 🌍🚆

Teach, Learn, Share

Photography is a passion of mine, and I enjoy teaching what I know—from technical skills to composition, lighting, and editing. Sharing knowledge is not just about teaching, but also growing together.

At the same time, I’m always eager to learn. Every person I meet has something to offer, whether it’s a different perspective, an experience, or a new lesson. I believe learning is an ongoing, mutual process.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I can offer my help around the house, whether it’s with small tasks or keeping things tidy. If you’d like, I can also cook a nice pasta dish 🍝 and share my favorite Italian recipes 🇮🇹.

I’m always happy to share experiences and stories, creating a moment of exchange and connection.
