ABOUT ME

Salut !! I'm a 28 y.o. Italian living in Amiens, France since 2012. I'm a teacher in a "lycée" near here and I enjoy meeting new people from all over the world, spending some time with them, talking about our experiences (concerning voyages, cultural differences and traditions, etc. )... I'd like to share with you my love for this country and make you discover the beauty of Amiens and its region, Picardy. I'm a very open-minded person, so it doesn't matter what religion, skin colour, nationality, sexual orientation you are, you're welcome !

PHILOSOPHY

The Coldplay sing, "if you never try, you never know" and the French say "qui ne tente rien, n'a rien". I think we should give a try to every possible experience in our life. Once I thought being a dreamer was my worst fault: since that time I've changed my mind, I gave my dreams a chance and guess what? It worked, I'm living abroad, doing the job I've always wanted to do. Maybe couchsurfing will be the first step to make your dreams come true?

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I've been hosted as a couchsurfer for my first days in Amiens. Thanks to this experience I've made a lot of friends. After 2 years, friendship has become stronger and stronger, it's an amazing experience. Since I've moved to a new flat, I can host couchsurfers too.

Interests

Voyages are on the top of my interests' list. It's kind of obvious, as doing couchsurfing includes you have to travel somewhere.
One of my main interests is cinema, I like action/romantic/horror movies, as well as most of the American TV-series.
I'm fond of art/archeology museums, town's cultural events, peaceful walkings along the river Somme, which flows through Amiens, natural escapades at the Picard coast and bay of Somme.
I also enjoy staying with my friends for playing some games at home, having a meal together.... or just give a party!

Music, Movies, and Books

I'm keen of romantic films, but also disaster/horror/action movies. I like all kind of music, despite rap is not on my top list. I have some French, Italian and English books you can read through during your stay.
