ABOUT ME

Hey, my name is Albie! I'm new to couch surfing. I'm usually an easy going kind of guy.

I turned 25 recently and realized that I haven't traveled much. I also realized that time was quickly ticking by in a dead end job that was far from my aspirations and values.

So I'm embarking on an ambitious journey over the next 6-7 months to travel across the United States on foot. I was inspired by the book "Walking Across America" by Peter Jenkins, Nate Damm, and others who have made the voyage. I'm planning to walk from Norfolk VA to San Francisco CA.

I honestly don't know what to expect, and I know the trip will be exceptionally difficult. I hope it is the trip of a lifetime. I am also doing this to raise money for charity. You can donate on my website at www.albiewalksamerica.com 100% of the money raised will go towards charity (currently under construction).

I'm planning on writing a book about my walk. If I show up at your door looking a little bit rough, it because I walked 10-20 miles that day.

After my travels I hope to go back to graduate school in the fall (don't ask me what yet, that's why I'm walking across America).

I'm looking for couches to surf during my journey. If you let me surf at your couch I'll make sure to repay you by cooking and or cleaning your place.
