I like meeting people from all over the world and I enjoy sharing my culture with others. I also like helping younger people when they find themselves in a strange environment in a new city. I have a daughter, who is 22, and she introuduced me to this site. She has used it on several occasions when she travelled in Europe and most of the time she had a great experience but she has also been in not so pleasant situations while coachsurfing. This is the reason why I am always happy to help others as I know they will be safe with me. When I see young people travelling by themselves especially young ladies I always think of my own daughter and her safety, this is the reason why I open my house to other people and provide them with safety and comfort in my house .

I have taken a group of students to the lake of Baikal - the biggest, cleanest, deepest lake in Russia and may be in the world. It was a 4-night train journey ONE WAY! from European part of Russia to the Asian part. 4 days and 4 nights in a train across Russia!
