My name is Rayson, and you can call me Rayray. I am twenty-six, and I hail from the hustle and bustle of the humid, the sunny Philippines. A medical maven by day, orchestrating a botanical ballet by night, I’m also a self-taught noob baker and an espresso explorer on a mission to find the perfect brew. I describe myself as family-focused, a film fanatic, and fueled by a desire to explore the world. I love to venture beyond my comfort zone by traveling with a purpose—most of it during my younger years, attending international conventions and exchanges. But I also want to experience traveling just for fun, like a nomad, who roams around, gaining wisdom as they go.

I’m not new to this platform, but I’d say I have barely shared a true Couchsurfing experience. In December 2024, I’m heading to Taiwan for the second time for some quick holiday! I hope to meet and greet nice people along the way, to hang out and be hosted, to have fun in the journey, to exchange meaningful conversations, and to see from the lenses and to stand in the shoes of people from varying walks of life. I think there’s something beautiful about connecting with people. Exploring local roots, learning the cultural heritage, hearing the stories of immigrants, and finding meaning in the experiences of co-travelers and hosts all make the journey unforgettable. I hope to discover that, perhaps, is what will make this holiday one for the books.
