About Me
Hey folks, I'm Alden! Seeking new friends and new couches. I got tuned into the beauty of couchsurfing (small c) on a big bike trip in 2018 when strangers in every city I visited welcomed me into their homes to share a meal and swap stories. I met some of the most generous, interesting people that way - chemists, surfers, carpenters, musicians, teachers, all excited to expand their communities. So that's what I look for while traveling, and I love hosting friends in turn whenever I'm stationary for a while.
As a guest, I’m pretty easy-going - I’m clean and respectful, and all I need is a couch to sleep on or a place to set up my tent. I enjoy sharing a meal and a beer as well! Non-smoker.
Preferred method of travel: bikes and feet. If I'm not outside, I'm probably cooking or re-watching Avatar: The Last Airbender for the fifth time.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I like to travel without spending too much money, and I always enjoy making new friends. In the past, I’ve been amazed by the hospitality of wonderful hosts who I’ve met through Warmshowers, which is basically Couchsurfing for cyclists. So, I’m giving Couchsurfing a try with high hopes!
