The people I've met through couch-surfing are all amazing, free spirited people.
To open your house to strangers or to sleep in a strangers house is really something special.
Everyone on here has a certain mindset which makes them immediately stand out, and I am certain meeting someone on this platform will never fail to be an interesting experience.

Besides, staying with a stranger or having a stranger stay with me allows us to get to know each other really quickly.

What's more is I feel like the only way to really get to know a place is through the locals (or through people living there now).
They know the ins and the outs and will show you the true side of a town/city/country.
