Hi there! My name is Aldous Davidson. I am named after the author of the book Brave New World: Aldous Huxley. My father was a fan and did his PhD dissertation on him. I am half-Asian, half-Caucasian and have lived and worked in NYC for the past 13 years.

I currently work as a video editor at an internet startup company called DramaFever which specializes in streaming Korean, Taiwanese, and Latin American television shows - a bit like the Asian Hulu. If you are a fan of K-Dramas or K-Pop, you might have heard of the site: www.dramafever.com

I also work occasionally as an actor in film and television. I've popped up in CBS's Blue Bloods, MTV's Guy Code, and Christopher Nolan's Dark Knight Rises among a few other things. I've been living in Los Angeles for the past 4 months and am now returning to NYC via an extended road trip. I figured it would be fun to check out the different spots across the USA from a local's point of view rather than stay in hotels and also meet some cool people and save a few dollars.

Musica, film e libri

Music: My favorite album of all time is John Lennon's first solo album called Plastic Ono Band. The Beatle's Abbey Road is also a favorite of mine. I also love hip hop!

Movies: My favorite directors are Paul Thomas Anderson, Quentin Tarantino, Richard Linklater and David Lynch. Anything by those guys are great. Dazed and Confused, Boogie Nights, and Pulp Fiction were big movies for me growing up.

TV Shows: Game of Thrones, Mad Men, True Detective, Breaking Bad, Walking Dead. Basically anything on AMC and HBO.

Books: My favorite book of all time is Infinite Jest by David Foster Wallace. It's a doozy but it changed a lot for me as far as what a piece of literature can be. Highly recommended if you are up to the challenge!

I'm not a very good cook but I would be happy to pay for dinner at whatever local awesome, must-go-to food spot is in the area. I'm a big foodie.
