About Me
CURRENT MISSION
my brother and I are exploring the country. searching for anything and everything of interest. (with plenty of music along the way!)
ABOUT ME
hmm...i'm an aspiring musician/writer (typical, eh?). i have a serious problem with your regular 9-5 jobs and do my utmost to avoid them. i feel as though they murder my soul.
i enjoy a good cigarette on a porch at night with a drink or two. i deeply love philosophical conversations- the type that come about rarely- when the persons involved forget about trying to prove themselves right and instead open up and let the words flow between them in whatever form they may happen to fly. it's times like this that a hand gesture or a gutteral noise can portray much more than a paragraph of spoken language...
i enjoy all forms of art. maybe i should say all mediums of art. i despise modern art/abstract art. unless there's actual feeling put into it (which is rare, i believe).
i love to explore culture in all its forms and faces.
PHILOSOPHY
"there is no right way or wrong way, you just have to live. and so i do what i do, and at least i exist. what could mean more than this?" -connor
like a lot of people in modern society, i began to feel that there was something terribly important lacking in the basic foundation of conventional existence. so i'm trying to find it... :D
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
i think that all i can really say to this effect is that, whenever i'm hitchhiking, i try to make the experience for the other person as enjoyable as possible. i think the misconceptions and fear of this "lost art" are horrible. i like to try and dispel some of this...help people to remember that there's adventure somewhere in their own spirits as well, once you get past the terror.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
the person that introduced me to this website probably gave me the most enjoyable couchsurfing experience i've had thus far. i was west of portland, oregon in a suburb called hillsboro when jim picked me up. after a bit of talk and cordialty he invited us back to his house where his wife cooked us an amazing stirfry dinner and we wasted hours away playing rockband all night. it turned out to be a much needed vacation from my vacation :)
Interests
MUSIC is first and foremost. it's not uncommon to see my nose buried in some monstrous book, either. i also write a rediculous amount. i hope to turn my experiences into some sort of a novel someday. other interests? i can become completely enthralled in anything so long as the person introducing me has a definate passion in his/her veins.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
last night i bowed down to krishna in a very extravagantly decorated temple. i don't believe in krishna really...but it was fun nonetheless. oh, i worked on a fishing boat in the bering sea, out of alaska. some people find that amazing, i suppose. i don't know...give me a drink and i'll open up with a lot more stories :)
Teach, Learn, Share
i find it difficult to answer this question without sounding completely self-indulgent...
i guess i've packed a lot of living into my life so far...still yet, i guess it would have to be up the the other person to decide whether or not i have something to offer.
do i sound interesting?
