Hello =] My name is Alec James. I have always had a drive to stay inspired and experience all of life. This desire has manifested in many ways in my life including my colorful job history (Disney Land Cast Member, gymnastics coach, technology teacher, small business owner) and hobby list (Snowboarding, videography, animation, kungfu). I have a deeply spiritual bent, but aim to apply that to my every day ambitions to bring the world up to it's full potential.

I have always thought that if I were to travel to new places that I have never been before, that I would love to stay with local people somehow... Thus my decision to join Couchsurfing! I don't believe that staying in a hotel is even close to the same experience. Only by staying with the local people would I be able to experience the real heartbeat of a place and get to know it's culture. I so look forward to exploring the world, and it's people, more!

I do not have a place that I am able to host people yet, bust as soon as I do, I will make it available. I think the opportunity to get to know people from so many varied backgrounds is so invaluable. Looking forwards to hosting in the future!

To Teach: I LOVE teaching. It's one of my favorite things to do =] Choose one of my many hobbies and passions if you want to learn something from me (the following list is not, by any means, comprehensive) : video and photo editing, kung fu, speed reading, metaphysical meditation / experiences, parkour, gymnastics, SNOWBOARDING (Oh that would be the best to go up on the mountain with some new faces and I'll teach you what I know =D)...

To Learn: I so want to learn from your life experiences. We all are in this together, yet we all experience something so unique. Where have you been? What have you done? What is your view of life and the multiverse? What do you want to see in your future? What is your purpose here on this planet?

If you have neat things you can teach I'm down to hear about them, too! Though, the most valuable thing on this or any planet is the people, so mostly, I'd want to learn about you =]

To Share: The one thing I most want to share with you are moments. Ones that we will look back on in the years to come and still be blessed.

I am wired as such: the desire to know and be known is really the driving force in my life. I'm the type of person who always gravitates towards deep conversations.

One thing I have come to learn about myself is that I can spend a lot of time doing things with people and still feel like I do not know them and they do not know me... for me the knowing comes from conversation, and connecting person to person, heart to heart. Not that I don't value doing fun/adventurous things with people, but to me it's a balance. If you rounded off an exciting day in nature with amazing, connected, and honest conversation around a fire at night, you'd have me in my favorite zone.

I can assure you, if we end up meeting each other, our conversation can and will range through a multitude of topics, both conventional and peculiar =]
