ABOUT ME

I'd like to think I am an interested and interesting person, who loves conversation and meeting new people. I have passions for dancing (I hope not too badly!), reading (especially philosophy), and music. I think being a kind and good person is its own reward.

PHILOSOPHY

Loving one another as best as is possible is the route to freedom; we should strive to make the world hospitable for love, which striving is itself the work of love.

Some things I am interested in: reading philosophy and literature, meeting with my friends as much as is possible, dancing when I can, looking at art, meeting new people, learning to play guitar better, learning new languages.

Some philosophers whose books I especially like: Kant, Nietzsche, Adorno, Marx and Aristotle. Some types of music I like: house and techno, some classical composers, folk music and various kinds of rock music. Some novelists I like: Conrad, Joyce, Orwell, Hardy, Eco. I'm no film expert, but I've really enjoyed recently: Blad Runner, White Ribbon, Kaboom!.

Cycling through hills of southern China with my friend David is up there - craziest landscape I'd ever seen.

I'd like to learn more languages and how to play the guitar better. I'm happy to pass on some philosophy knowledge! Also sharing music is always a great idea.
