Currently traveling for a year after Uni before hitting the work life. So a little...or a lot about me in the rest of the profile , I am originally from Mexico but have lived abroad since I was 12. Love the experience of different countries and cultures, meeting different people and experiencing things outside my comfort zone. If your also addicted to traveling you know what I'm talking about, there's nothing like the rush of submerging yourself into the unknown and seeing the world in a completely new way, so hey maybe I'll meet you somewhere around.

Because I think its a beautiful way to connect with people. Its very much a two way road where two or more individuals base that relationship on trust and can gain so much from the experience. I think that if society took more from this principle the world would definitely be a better place.

兴趣

I studied communications because I think its really what permeates all relationships, weather its spoken, tacitly understood or communicated by body language we are constantly communicating with the world around us. Even when we aren't using our voice, the way we choose to present ourselves to the world via our body language and clothes, what we say and don't say.... we are always communicating with one another. I am extremely interested in finding out what makes people tick, what triggers reactions in others and in myself and why. I am in constant self-inquiry about my views and why I think the way I do.

I am extremely interested in the process through which we normalize things in society so much that we don't question them anymore, which I believe is quite detrimental. Antonio Gramsci is one of my favorite philosophers and his notion of hegemony is fascinating in how the rhetoric in society manufactures consent for the status quo.

I love Rumi's poems, one of my favourite quotes of his is “Out beyond ideas of wrongdoing and rightdoing there is a field. I'll meet you there. When the soul lies down in that grass the world is too full to talk about.”

One of my favorite books is Kafta on the shore by murakami. Also almost anything written by Isabell Allende... Favorite movies, Peaceful warrior, memoirs of a Geisha (loved the book as well), Wait until dark and Amelie.

Music wise I'll be honest, I'm not a musical person and most of the music I listen to has been shown to me by friends and people I know. don't get me wrong I love listening to music and I wish it was more of a thing of mine but truly I'm not the type of gal who was a soundtrack to her life. That being said I do love Rodrigo and Gabriela, Pink Floyd, the Cranberries, Florence and the Machine, almost anything played by Vladimir Ashkenazy and my favorite lately Zoe Keating.

Honestly I think the best thing I could have ever done was give myself the time and space to find what I want to do with my life at a given time, weather that meant moving to India for two years or taking a gap year...
