ABOUT ME
I would say I'm pretty easy going, looking to see new things. I love touristy things too, so I don't think 'tourist traps' are necessarily bad. I see travel as a great way to learn more about the world, and I'd like to learn as much as possible. To do this though I work most of the time, so I have to cram my travel into my 2-3 week vacation. I love traveling though, so I've been debating quitting and taking a whole year to travel. But for now, I'll try to enjoy as much as I can in my small travel window.
PHILOSOPHY
Do unto others as you would have them do unto you.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
have wanted to do it for a long time, made an account 2 years ago (!) and finally filling out a profile. I've done a lot of hostel traveling over the years and always heard good things about cs. I wish I had space at home to do this, but live with family and they aren't as keen on it as I am.
Interests
I really like wandering around. I also really like maps and geocaching. However, I find tv to be hard to turn down and find myself a lot of tv, and its usually stuff no one else watches. My life is heavily influenced by the Simpsons, and I know also enjoy Family Guy, American Dad, and Bob's Burgers. I am also very into photography but not in a serious "I take a DSLR everywhere." I think a camera phone is more than good enough and take millions of pictures.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Its hard to pick ONE thing for here...I'm kinda stumped.
I'll put something recent, which after a lot of traveling still impressed me. It was the Sagrada Familia in Barcelona. Why? the focus is always on its exterior and so I was familiar with that image. But going inside was truly a magnificent experience. the sun was passing through the windows in the most perfectly cinematic way...the columns were superb and unlike anything I'd ever seen. I've been in many churches and even the most beautiful didnt affect me in this way...I finally understood how a peasant in the middle ages would feel upon entering a cathedral. Really glad I was so ignorant and could appreciate the grandeur of the church for the first time.
